Day 2: Marangu Gate (1,843m) – Mandara Hut (2,700m)
Distance: 8 km | Time: 3–4 hours
After registration at Marangu Gate, trek through tropical rainforest with lush vegetation, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and birdlife.
Arrive at Mandara Hut for hot lunch and afternoon acclimatization walk to Maundi Crater.
