Tour Plan

Arrival:

  • Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your accommodation in Moshi, a town at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Check into your hotel for the night, where you can relax and prepare for your climb the next day.
  • You’ll receive a briefing from your guide about the climb, the equipment you’ll need, and any final preparations.

Morning:

Midnight:

  • The climb is challenging, with a long and steep trek through the rocky scree. You’ll be climbing by headlamp, following the winding trail as you make your way toward the summit.

Summit:

  • After several hours of climbing, you’ll reach Stella Point (18,900 feet/5,750 meters), where you’ll be able to enjoy a short rest and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding glaciers. From Stella Point, it’s a short walk to the final destination: Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro.

Celebration:

  • Reach the summit at sunrise! Take photos, celebrate your achievement, and soak in the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.

Descent:

  • After spending a short time at the summit, begin your descent back to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved rest.
  • After lunch and a brief rest at Barafu, continue your descent to Mweka Camp (10,200 feet/3,100 meters) for your final night on the mountain.

Return to Moshi:

  • After completing the descent, you will reach Mweka Gate and be awarded your summit certificate if you reached Uhuru Peak.
  • Your guide will then transfer you back to Moshi for a well-earned rest.
