Overview

Tour Plan
Arrival:
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
- Transfer to your hotel in Moshi (about 45 minutes to 1 hour drive).
- Meet your climbing team and guide for a pre-climb briefing.
- Enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner and rest.

Morning:
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Afterward, transfer to the Machame Gate (approximately 1.5-2 hours by vehicle).
- Begin the registration process, and meet the rest of the group.
Trekking:
- Start your trek through the rainforest zone, with a gradual ascent up to Machame Camp.
- You’ll hike through lush vegetation, spotting some wildlife and experiencing the mountain's rich biodiversity.

Altitude Gain: 1,800 m (Machame Gate) to 3,000 m (Machame Camp)
Afternoon:
- Set up camp at Machame Camp.
- Take time to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery as you prepare for the next day.

Morning:
- After breakfast, start the trek from Machame Camp towards Shira Camp.
- This day’s trek will take you through the moorland zone, where the landscape changes to open, rolling hills with scattered plants and wild grasses.

Altitude Gain: 3,000 m (Machame Camp) to 3,850 m (Shira Camp)
Afternoon:
- The trek today will offer spectacular views of the surrounding area and a chance to acclimatize.
- Set up camp at Shira Camp, a high-altitude campsite offering fantastic views of Kilimanjaro’s glaciers and the Shira Plateau.

Morning:
- After breakfast, you’ll head towards Lava Tower, which sits at 4,600 m.
- This is a great day for acclimatization, as the route climbs to a higher altitude and then descends to Barranco Camp, helping your body adjust to the thinner air.

Altitude Gain: 3,850 m (Shira Camp) to 4,600 m (Lava Tower)
Altitude Loss: 4,600 m (Lava Tower) to 3,950 m (Barranco Camp)
Afternoon:
- The Lava Tower hike is a key part of the climb, providing incredible views of Kilimanjaro’s landscape and glaciers.
- After reaching Lava Tower, you’ll descend to Barranco Camp, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Barranco Wall.

Morning:
- After breakfast, begin the trek to Barafu Camp, one of the highest campsites on the mountain.
- You will hike through the Karanga Valley, passing through rugged terrain and alpine desert zones.

Altitude Gain: 3,950 m (Barranco Camp) to 4,600 m (Barafu Camp)
Afternoon:
- Upon arrival at Barafu Camp, take some time to rest and prepare for the summit ascent, which will begin later in the night.
- Enjoy a hearty dinner and try to get some rest before the final push to the summit.

Early Morning:
- Begin your summit attempt around midnight or 1:00 AM.
- The trek to Stella Point (5,730 m) will be slow and steady, as the terrain is steep and challenging. From Stella Point, continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) for the final summit push.
Summit Highlights:
- Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) for a breathtaking view of the glaciers and surrounding landscapes.
- Celebrate your achievement at the highest point in Africa.
Morning:
- After taking in the views, descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and light meal.
Afternoon:
- Continue your descent to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.
- The descent is steep, but your body will be more accustomed to the altitude after the summit attempt.
Trekking Distance: Approx. 5-6 km to Uhuru Peak, and 12-13 km down to Mweka Camp

Morning:
- After breakfast, begin the final descent to Mweka Gate.
- As you descend, enjoy the changing ecosystems, from alpine desert to lush rainforest once again.

Altitude Loss: 3,100 m (Mweka Camp) to 1,640 m (Mweka Gate)
Lunch:
- Arrive at Mweka Gate, sign out, and receive your summit certificate (for those who reached Stella Point or Uhuru Peak).
- Transfer back to Moshi for a celebration and a well-deserved rest after the challenging climb.
