Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxed city orientation or visit the shores of Lake Victoria. A detailed safari briefing will be provided, outlining trekking guidelines, safety procedures, and conservation rules.

After breakfast, depart for western Uganda, driving through scenic countryside, tea plantations, and crater lakes. Arrive in the primate-rich region surrounding Kibale Forest National Park in the afternoon. This park is widely regarded as the best destination for chimpanzee trekking in East Africa.

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest with experienced rangers. Track chimpanzee communities as they move through the canopy, observing feeding, grooming, and vocal communication. The trek may also reveal other primates such as red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and forest birds.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for birdlife and community conservation initiatives.

Today is dedicated to the exclusive Gorilla Habituation Experience. After an early morning briefing, venture deep into the forest with trackers, researchers, and rangers to meet a semi-habituated gorilla family. Spend up to four hours observing and learning about gorilla behavior, family dynamics, health monitoring, and conservation research. This immersive experience offers exceptional photographic and educational opportunities.

Following breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a standard gorilla trekking experience. Track a fully habituated gorilla family through the dense rainforest. Once located, enjoy a magical one-hour encounter with these gentle giants in their natural habitat. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to relax at the lodge or visit a nearby local community.
